Rylan is 6 weeks old

Mommy & Rylan
Cameron, Rylan, & Jadyn

Rylan smiling!

I am the worst blogger around! I am sorry it has been so long. Rylan is now 6 weeks old. She is doing wonderfully. She is finally sleeping most of the night and only waking once to eat. She is now fitting in 0-3 months size clothes. She was in newborn clothes up til now. She is about 9.5lbs. She is smiling, wiggling, rolling side to side, and beginning to use her arms purposefully. She loves to hold her head up and look around. She is very alert and aware of her surroundings. She loves her daddy, sister, & brother so much! It is fun to see her recognizeing(sp?) them all! I will try to update more often. Thank you for all your prayers!!!

Induction tomorrow 9-26-08

This is the last belly picture of me before Rylan's arrival! I am 37.5 weeks. I will be induced in the morning. I am dialated to 3 and 50% effaced. Tomorrow is also Poppie's birthday(Jeremy's grandfather).

9-18-08

Thankfully, Rylan is still looking great! The doctor has me scheduled for an induction on Sept 30th. I am dialated to 2 and 50% effaced. I am very thankful because that means an easier induction. I would still rather go into labor without being induced...most importantly is God's will first!

Jadyn's birthday party is coming up this Saturday! She is very excited!

My mom should be here in a few hours! She is going to be here for probably 3 weeks! Thanks mom for being willing to spend that much time away from home!!!

This is what I currently look like! And yes, I know that my shirt and pants dont match.

Rylan is still doing great! The ultrasound says she weighs 5lb 1oz today. She is still growing and moving! I am still having contractions here and there. Doctor says that if needed they will give me a shot to stop contractions until 36 weeks. After that, they will just let me go. I am not having them regularly so I am not concerned about that. I am just excited and trying to patiently wait for the next part! I cant wait to see what God has in store for our family!!!

Hospital Visit

Yesterday, I was having some contractions about 30 minutes apart, but they made me feel like I needed to push. So, I called the nurse and she told me to go to the hospital to be checked out just incase(it was after doctor hours when she returned my call). They hooked me up to the fetal heart monitor and the contractions monitor. They said Rylan's heart rate was "text book" baby. Which is very comforting. I was having contractions, so they gave me a shot to stop them. The nurse checked to see if I was dialated. I am dialated to a 1, 30% effaced, and baby is at -2 station. I was concerned because I have never been dialated before being admitted to the hospital for real labor. The doctor reassured me that all of this is normal for a 4th pregnancy at 34 weeks. Rylan is very low, so I am and will continue to have alot of pressure & pains until she is born. I have my regular ultrasound & doc appointment on Thursday. I will update again then. I have not been put on any restrictions at this time. I am still, randomly, feeling the urge to push. I am just sitting and resting until it passes.

On a different note, Jadyn started preschool yesterday at the church. She had an awesome day! One of her preschool teachers is also one of her Sunday School teachers. And she already knew 2 of the kids in her class. It is so fun to watch her be so excited about preschool. She said she wants to go everyday! Her first soccer game for the fall is Sat. She is back with the Power Pups now. She is, of course, very excited about soccer too!

Cameron is a little dissappointed that he is not in preschool. Honestly, I didnt think he would want to go. But it was nice yesterday spending time with just him for a while.

8-21-08

Rylan is still doing great! Today we got to see her yawn. It's really neat all the things we get to see her doing!

This coming week is the week at which we lost Carsyn, so please be praying for us. Pray for us to trust and have no fear. Our God has been & is always faithful!!!

Rylan is still doing great! Not really much different from last week. We did get to see her moving her eyes around. That was really cool! I see the doc again next week, so maybe more to report then.

8-7-08 update

Today's ultrasound said Rylan is 4lbs now. That's a weight gain of 2lbs in 4 weeks. She is still getting her 8 out of 8 perfect score. She is measuring 1 week & 1 day ahead. She is in the 76th percentile of babies of the same gestation(sp?). The doctor said she will induce at 38 weeks. That reassures me that Rylan will not be born on Jadyn's birthday. It looks like we may be having a September baby. If Rylan continues to gain 2lbs every 4 weeks, she will be 6lbs at 34 weeks, and 8lbs at 38 weeks. We will see!! She is still head down. She did turn around for us to see her face today. She was sucking her thumb AND playing with her feet. The tech did check her girly parts again. She is a she!

Ultrsound and Endocrinologist update

Yesterday's ultrasound was super quick because Rylan moved tons! She was head down and face down(delivery position, we will see if she stays that way) so we could not get an pictures of her. She got an 8 out of 8 score, just as she should. Between her moving and the Braxton Hicks contractions it is becoming more difficult to get anything accomplished...

As for the thyroid stuff. Everything looks good. I will continue on the synthroid and cytomel. I do blood work in 4 weeks again and then I dont have to do it again until December! He did say that the right side of my thyroid was a little larger than before, but he has no concerns about it at this time.

God has given me 2 wonderful appointments this week and I am so thankful!!!

Rylan is doing great! Today she was not sucking her thumb, she was playing with her feet! It is really fun to see her every week. See was face up today so we got to see her face and she is really filling out. We could see her tiny fingers & toes moving. The doctor is very pleased with Rylan's movements, heart rate, & size. The tech looked again and Rylan is definately a girl!

Thyroid Stuff

The endocrinologist has reduced my synthroid and my cytomel stays the same. I have an appt. with him on Aug. 1. We will see where we go from there.

Rylan's feet

Ultrasound 7-17-08

Everything still looks completely normal and great! I'll get a pic of her feet up sometime today. She was head down and face down today, so all we got a pic of was her feet. We got to watch her heartbeat alot. We even got to see her ears from the back of her head. At last weeks ultrasound she was measured at 2lbs. Great news for me because at 26 weeks with Cameron he was already 3lbs! Thanks for all your prayers!

Jadyn's neck

Jadyn has a pulled muscle in her neck. She had soccer practice last night. It was very different than normal. We went to Blue Sky and the practice was led my Blue Sky staff. There were about 25 kids on a very small field. They were ages 3-6. It was crazy. She really enjoyed herself, but this morning is in pain. The doctor said to have her lay down all day and give her Motrin. So, that's what we are doing. She will be fine in a few days.

Ultrasound Pictures

Today's ultrasound pics. The top one is Rylan sucking her thumb. The bottom one is her face.

Our appt. went well today. We did have an ultrasound and everything looks great. Rylan is blinking her eyes and sucking her thumb! The placenta is between her and me so I am not feeling all of her movements.

I am so thankful that my niece Eden's surgery went well and that she is doing good. Thank God today for His faithfulness in your life!!!

"The Lord gives strength to His people; the Lord blesses His people with peace." Psalm 29:11

This is the scripture Stephanie made for us for Christmas. I love that it gives the name Olivia(offer of peace) a whole new meaning to me!

Thursday, June 26, 2008

Olivia's meaning is olive tree or olive branch. An olive tree is a symbol of beauty, fruitfulness, and dignity. An olive branch signifies an offer of peace.

Rylan's ultrasound

Rylan is a GIRL!!! Rylan Olivia Carroll is her name. I really like this name because the initials spell ROC. What an awesome reminder that Jesus is our rock. He saw us thru a difficult year and what an amazing new understanding we have of Him. Everything in the ultrasound is NORMAL! I will put a pic on soon. The ultrasound was so cool! We could see her tongue moving!!! She was sucking her thumb! It was incredible!!!

Cameron's 1st soccer practice

Well, I made us miss most of it...I thought it started at 6:30, but it actually ended at 6:30. He did get a few minutes with the team. His coach called him a "little firecracker". He was so excited. He kicked the ball into the goal and ran around tons in his few minutes! I was worried that he would not actually play at all, but he did. His first game is Sat., June 28th.

Jadyn's first practice with this team is tomorrow. We will try to be on time! Her first game is also on Sat., June 28.

Wednesday, June 18, 2008

Our next appointment is next week! I am very excited!

This week is VBS. It is tons of fun, but very tiring. Cameron has his first soccer practice on Friday night! It ought to be fun to watch 3 yr olds running around trying to play soccer! Jadyn has her first practice with her summer soccer team on Saturday morning. They are both very excited to play soccer.

Crazy Dreams

Last night I had a dream that Rylan was a girl. That is the second time I have dreamed baby was a girl. She was a preemie weighing 4lbs and was 9 inches long. HAHA! We named her Rylan Olivia. I guess we will see in a couple of weeks! The first dream I had Rylan was a girl, but she was BIG! And Jeremy missed the delivery. Pregnancy brings crazy dreams!

Today's Doctor Visit

God is so good. My doctor appointment was very encouraging. Everything looks perfect! I will start going every two weeks now. My next appointment is June 26, I will have an ultrasound, see the doctor, and do the glucose screen. At 28 weeks, I will start having weekly ultrasounds only because of what happened with Carsyn not because there is anything "wrong" this time.

When I got in the car to leave the doctor's office, the song Blessed Be Your Name was on the radio. It is an incredible song. My favorite part of it is when it says, "You give and take away. My heart will CHOOSE to say, Lord Blessed be your Name!". No matter the outcome of this pregnancy is, our hearts will choose to say, Lord Blessed be your Name!

Baby Rylan

Well, Ali finally convinced me to do this!

As you all know, baby Rylan is on the way. My estimated due date is 10/12/08.

At the ultrasound, Rylan chose to keep his OR her legs closed and feet crossed.

I'll start by saying, do not be concerned just prayerful.

This past Tuesday, I made a trip to the doctor's office. I was checked for pre-term labor. Praise the Lord, I do NOT have it!!! I did not think I did, but because of the pressure I was having they checked. I am not having regular or unusual contractions. Other tests were run, and all were negative. Rylan's heartbeat is great! Rylan's movement is great! I do have to do the BRAT diet, Bread Rice And Tea, for a few days. Wednesday, I felt really good like nothing bothered me the day before. I feel great today too! My regular appointment is today. Hopefully, I'll find out when the next ultrasound is!

Remeber to thank God today for someone you love!
